Use of social plugins from Facebook, Google+, Twitter using the "2-click solution

Our website uses so-called "Social Plugins" from the social networks Facebook and Google+ and the Microblogging service Twitter. These services are offered by the companies Facebook Inc., Google Inc. and Twitter Inc. ("providers").

Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). You can find an overview of plugins from Facebook and their appearance here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

Google+ is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). You can find an overview of plugins from Google and their appearance here: https://developers.google.com/+/web/

Twitter is operated by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103. You can find an overview of the Twitter buttons and their appearance here: https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons

In order to increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plugins are embedded within the website using the "2-click solution". This embedding ensures that, when accessing a page on our website containing such plugins, a connection is not yet established with the servers at Facebook, Google and Twitter. Only when you activate the plugins and thus grant your consent to data transmission does your browser produce a direct connection to the servers at Google, Facebook or Twitter. The content of each plugin is directly transmitted by its provider to your browser and embedded within the website. By embedding the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has retrieved the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile with the relevant provider or are not logged in at the time. This information (as well as your IP address) is directly transmitted by your browser to a server in the USA hosted by the particular provider and stored at that location. If you interact with the plugins, for example, activate the “Like”, the "+1" or the "Twitter" button, the corresponding information will also be transmitted directly to a server hosted by the provider and stored at the location. The information is also published in the social network or on your Twitter account and your contacts displayed there. You can find out about the purpose and extent of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers as well as your corresponding rights and configuration options to protect your private sphere from the data privacy policy on the providers’ websites.
